What became clear to UBAGA Leadership was the need for a competitive golf event in the San Francisco Bay Area showcasing the strength of urban golf talent and the unique style, culture, sights and sounds of the past and present.
Swagger CupA central component of UBAGA’s vision involves staging a premier golf tournament for urban golf talent in the San Francisco Bay Area. This vision comes to life in the The Swagger Cup, which has two distinct formats offering experiences for players with mid to high skill levels seeking a highly competitive tournament setting as well as those wanting a more socially oriented atmosphere. Both reflect the culture, attitude and tone of the urban golf enthusiast.

These aspirational values influence and direct not only the experience being designed for each tournament participant, but also guides our approach towards opening opportunities and impacting the futures of the youth at the heart of our mission and programs.

Urban YouthUGABA's mission focuses on creating and supporting junior golf initiatives and resources for underserved urban youth. These objectives are realized through awareness campaigns, program creation, financial support, mentor identification and the creation of additional instruction and competition opportunities. The staging of the Swagger Cup is a central component of this support structure and the realization of these goals.
